Personalized Learning

Personalized learning refers to various educational programs, learning experiences, instructional approaches, and academic-support strategies intended to address individual student’s distinct learning needs, interests, aspirations, or cultural backgrounds.

The simplest example of personalized learning would be when an instructor provides learning material with appropriate content and context in the best way for the learner. This is done by using the existing knowledge that the instructor has of the student.

Personalized learning allows students to express their curiosity and do their best work using tools and strategies that highlight their abilities rather than illuminate their disabilities.
